Call Of Duty: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best

17. Call Of Duty 3

Call Of Duty Franchise
Activision

What a way to endear yourself to your franchise's original fans: Call Of Duty 3 was a controversial game thanks to the decision not to release it on PC (because Treyarch hadn't worked on the platform previously). Add to that the fact that it was in production for just 8 months - and by God does it show - and you've got the recipe for a poor game that was a terrible follow-up to the excellent Call of Duty 2.

With advancements more recently like Black Ops III, Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare before them, the lack of courage shown in churning out COD 3 is even more stark. Sure the predecessor worked well, so reinvention entirely would have been a gamble, but adding a lick of paint and a poor campaign was not a smart move.

The mission types were unimaginative, the AI was terrible and the glitching was off the chart. That's what you get for not catering to PC gamers.
