Call Of Duty: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best

13. Call Of Duty 2: Big Red One

Call Of Duty Franchise

Some may sneer at Big Red One as a parred down version of Call Of Duty 2 for the outgoing XBox and PS2 generation, but it's actually a pretty good stand-alone experience. The game focused on a single group of soldiers - the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One, hence the name), and while it cannot compete directly with its "big brother", it was still a worthy wielder of the Call Of Duty banner.

There was also a great voice cast, including Michael Cidlitz and Rock Gomez - who had played significant roles in HBO's Band Of Brothers - and Mark Hamill as the narrator. This was no second thought.

It's a simpler game, and playing it back now feels like a window into an entirely different time for shooting games, but it was definitely rewarding and it's nice to go back to a time when such care was taken for a dead generation of consoles. It's almost unthinkable that they'd bother now.
