Call Of Duty Modern Warfare: 10 Iconic Maps That NEED To Return
3. Wasteland
This map is the sniper's paradise that the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot has been missing.
Wasteland is almost entirely geared towards long-range combat. The large circular field operated around a central hedgerow with cover provided by some sandbag-lined trenches, a couple of buildings, a church and a helicopter.
Operators adorned in the ghillie suit will gain a natural advantage on this map due to the large patches of long dry grass.
There are opportunities for closer range combat with a bunker that runs under the hedgerow, and this gets particularly chaotic on Domination as this is where B flag is located.
Grenade and RPG spam into this underground zone is commonplace, so if you're a keen objective player be prepared to die a lot.
Some maps have suffered from irritating and misplaced invisible walls, but Wasteland is particularly creative with how it handles this; the extremities are irradiated, and so venturing into these areas will result in death.
Due to the particularly long sightlines, dying upon spawning could be frequent if Infinity Ward isn't careful, but for the completely different experience this map offers, it would be worth it.
