4. Hackney Yard

It's a testament to how well designed Hackney Yard is that it's ended so far up this list, because it's potentially the ugliest map of the bunch. Essentially it's just a big, grey industrial yard full of warehouses and pop-up office buildings. It ain't exactly easy on the eyes, but what it lacks in visual flair it makes up for in facilitating intense firefights.

It comes close to the three-lane style that defined the earlier releases, but increases the verticality of engagements massively, and promotes getting the height advantage on enemies. Even better, this added layer encourages taking risks as well, as you jump from roof to roof to rain down fire from above.

The big, empty building on the right is also great for objective modes, as it's always fun to fight to own it. There's enough space to mount a good defence, but not too much so it becomes a camper's heaven. It offers a real tactical advantage, and it's not easy to maintain.
