Those leaked steelcases hint at the missions CoD fans will be tackling in this year’s instalment, with the box artwork clearly depicting the Normandy Landings.
An aerial view of Omaha Beach can be seen in the first image and a band of soldiers storming a beach is the centrepiece of the second.
Another D-Day beach raid showing the action from a different angle is our subject matter in leaked image number three, while number four is a carbon copy of the poster design and the fifth is a close-up of a soldier brandishing a rifle.
So one can assume that the Normandy Landings will be a key mission in CoD: WW2, and this isn’t exactly uncharted territory for the series.
The D-Day invasion has been depicted in a total of 11 missions across four CoD games, including that memorable final battle in Call of Duty 2’s British campaign.
Its seems CoD fans have nothing to fear but fear itself... and the possibility of an expensive rehash.
