Call Of Duty: WWII - 10 Classic Multiplayer Maps That Should Return
8. Nuketown
Of course Nuketown's present here, but it's not just an obligatory mention - Treyarch's iconic map is popular for good reason. Yes, Activision's insistence on offering the map in Black Ops' sequels as a pre-order bonus has somewhat led to its overexposure, but at its core, Nuketown's simplicity makes it a seller.
Two camps - originally themed after an idyllic 1950s American suburb - sit face to face, with only a slim, traffic-jammed road separating them. Playable space is small, but to its credit, the map still boasts the ability to enable multiple styles of play.
At its heart, Call of Duty has always been an arcade shooter, Nuketown makes no attempts to hide that; stripping away the unnecessary, often unused portions of a map to emphasize what we're all here for - to engage in non-stop gunplay. There's no downtime.
With that said, it's unlikely Nuketown will ever grace WWII - yet another iteration will be the pre-order bonus for whatever Treyarch cooks up next, no doubt - but still, a man can dream, right?
