Not counting the four operations in War mode, COD WW2's multiplayer will ship with 13 maps when it releases later this year. Providing an expansive worldwide view of the conflict, unlike the game's story mode the multiplayer is free to explore every important front of WW2, putting the focus on classic locales as well as battlefields that are rarely ever thought about.

Consequently players will be able to duke it out in environments that have never before been seen in a WW2 game, with the developers also trying to put new twists on familiar locations.
