Call Of Duty WWII: 9 Reasons Why It Will Save The Franchise

1. It Doesn't Cover The Same Ground As The Other Sub-Series

One of the biggest mistakes Activision has made with Call of Duty for years now is having all three developers pumping out the same experiences year after year.

Instead of spinning off to take the franchise into unique directions, since 2013 every studio has been focused on creating sci-fi themed CODs, to the point where the different sub-series' have become virtually indistinguishable from one another.

With Sledgehammer being allowed to go in a completely different direction with WW2 however, it could indicate that Activision is finally putting their different studios to good use.

Instead of being tied down to one genre, the developers have been given the opportunity to spread their wings, and hopefully the latest entry in the franchise is an indication that no two future CODs will be the same.
