Casting The Perfect Gears Of War Film

Onto the main man himself, Marcus Fenix. Fenix is the longstanding face of the franchise and encapsulates the entire Gears image under that tight-fitting do-rag.

Fenix is the audience's first introduction to the chaotic world of Sera. Immediately, Fenix is represented as a soldier who takes matters into his own hand. Fenix grows from a reluctant soldier to a compassionate leader throughout the series.

Beneath the gritty grub killing surface, Gears is ultimately a story of family and survival.

And this is why Joe Manganiello is a perfect fit to take up the lancer. Not only does Manganiello share a striking resemblance to the character but he has the acting chops to pull of Fenix's many layers. From Deathstroke to Big Dick Ritchie, Manganiello has an extreme dynamic range of characters under his belt.

Manganiello could bring a more human approach to the character while still embodying the no-nonsense gruff exterior of Fenix.

While Bautista is currently the fan favourite to take on the Fenix mantle, Manganiello brings a certain charm to the character. Both actors are incredible choices in their own right but Manganiello takes the top spot on our list.
