Anya Stroud is perhaps the most underrated character in all of the Gears of War games.

Not only is Anya an intelligent tactician, but she is also able to hold her as a soldier alongside the walking testosterone bricks they call gears. Despite her being one of the series' main characters, Stroud remains somewhat of a mystery with some hints towards her shady political career. Stroud is by far one of the more intriguing characters that has yet to be fully fleshed out with some of her more interesting stories being left in the shadows.

Katheryn Winnick is a perfect match for Anya Stroud's cool intellect and prowess in battle. While Winneck has been a successful actor for many years, Vikings has made her a household name and one of televisions most iconic characters.

Her role as Lagertha is enough evidence to support Stroud's transformation from intel informant to fierce warrior.
