Castlevania Season 3 Review: 5 Ups & 2 Downs
Ups...
5. Life After Dracula
We've already mentioned how shocking it was to see the legendary Dracula meet his end in the second season because he was Castlevania's primary antagonist and the person who set every single one of its events in motion, so to continue on without him was a bold move.
However, if Season 3 is successful at anything (it's successful at a lot actually), it's highlighting that there is more story left to be told. Without giving too much away, that story is spawned from the wreckage of the previous one, and it's one full of Night Creatures, small towns and military planning that ultimately creates various intriguing mysteries for our characters to solve.
In spite of the concerns, Season 3 manages to justify its own existence with a new and compelling narrative born out of the remains of the old one and perhaps the best thing about it all is that it also manages to sets up a fourth season in the process.
