Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy: 15 Most Brutally Hard Levels

5. Cold Hard Crash (Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back)

Cold Hard Crash is by far the longest level in Crash 2 and makes you feel every minute of it, especially if you're aiming to smash every crate, of which there are 155.

The main reason this level is such a pain is the ice, which makes it easy to get hit by falling icicles or squashed by various stone and tree stamps. This is exacerbated by the slight mechanical adjustment the games have undergone in the N. Sane Trilogy, meaning players can't rely on muscle memory to leap and slide around on the ice as they remember.

And what about those damn porcupines and spinning penguins? It's just a brutal slog of a level all around, and without question as hard as either of the latter two games in the collection get.
