Crash Bandicoot: Ranking Every Game From Worst To Best
13. Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced
Quite the allusive title (in both regards), but not exactly elusive of what's to come, as you're not likely to be entranced so much as you are moderately engaged. That isn't to say this game is bad, far from it, in fact, when analysing the hardware it was specifically designed for it's an impressive product.
The shift to two dimensions may initially be somewhat offputting to those familiar with the orange marsupial from his playstation escapades, but its all about perspective. No pun intended.
If you're able to look past a pioneer of 3D platforming in a fish-out-of-water 2D landscape as he's subsidised by Nintendo's purple handheld, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Despite the transition, it all works rather immaculately. The levels feel fleshed out to the correct degree, the developers have managed to utilise the 2D landscape in a vast variety of creative ways and even introduces a mainstay character in N-Trance.
It may be difficult to get invested in this short, miniscule platformer today, but if you're looking for a condensed Crash experience then this may be n-teresting to you!
