Crash Bandicoot: Ranking Every N. Sane Trilogy Boss Battle
15. Komodo Brothers - Cortex Strikes Back
The Komodo Brothers had a decent concept, but it doesn't really deliver on it. The idea of a central boss to avoid while they shoot projectiles was improved upon massively in Warped with Dingodile, and as a result the Komodo Brothers lose points. Even komodos themselves just feel like knockoff dingos. A komodo ate my baby doesn't have the same ring to it, after all.
Not being as good as Dingodile can't count against it too harshly; as a lot of entries on this list will attest to. Perhaps the biggest disappointment of the Komodo Brothers is that they waste the one thing that makes them unique.
The brothers are the only boss battle featuring a duo, but this potential is squandered. A bit like the strange battle plan between Electro & Goblin in Amazing Spider-Man 2, they decide the best way to team up is to attack separately.
Why on earth they decided literally having one brother swat the other at Crash is the best option is beyond comprehension. Had they both attacked Crash together, swords slashing, the fight might have been more of a test, and probably a lot more memorable.
