2. How To Survive On Hard Difficulty

Woo boy, Beenox have been watching the speedrunners and legacy this game has accrued across the last 20 years because man, Nitro-Fueled's hard mode redefines the word.

Enemy A.I. means even basic karts will have maxed out speed, so to even keep up you'll have to take on board a few specific things:

1. Know every track's shortcuts. The A.I. don't take them, so use these to stay with the pack.

2. Pick an Advanced character (use the shoulder buttons to cycle through the roster when selecting). These have the base speed stats to at least hang with everyone else.

3. You can go with a Beginner character if you're relying more on shortcuts, as the maxed out Acceleration will get you back to top speed after any power-ups come your way. Note that you need shortcuts and perfect driving though.
