11. Use Brake To Reorientate Yourself In Mid-Air

Speaking of drifting finesse, know that your standard brake (Square on PS4, Y on Switch, X on Xbox) can force your kart to turn in mid-air.

Even though it doesn't make a whole lot of sense physics-wise, just hold the respective button and hold left or right.

You'll immediately turn as if on the spot, and it's a SUPER helpful technique for tighter, more advanced tracks.

You can also brake and turn at the same time to almost swivel on the spot whilst on the ground, but you'll still have to be moving forward a little. Feather the accelerator then turn and brake if you need to get out of a tricky situation.
