Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled - 8 Ways To Blow The Original Out The Water
6. New Levels Based On N. Sane Trilogy
The original Crash Trilogy is one of the best loved trilogies in gaming; applauded not once, but twice now. It was met with critical acclaim on release and the recent N Sane Trilogy not only coped with the pressure of a remaster but made it a wonderful experience for everyone who played it.
With that in mind, there’s definitely some improvement Crash Team Racing could see by embracing this success. While the game needs to be a faithful remaster, it can still do that with new content. The N Sane trilogy added two completely new levels as free DLC, and there’s no reason CTR couldn’t follow suit.
The current race tracks were obviously based on levels within the Crash canon, but there’s a lot of much loved themes that didn’t get a look in. The Warped DLC was a futuristic styled level, with so many inventive obstacles that it feels perfectly suited to CTR. There’s also the Arabian themed levels, the Coco levels in China and many more besides.
The creativity has always been a massive selling point of Crash. New levels give them an opportunity to flex that even more.
