Crash Team Racing PS1: Ranking EVERY Racer From Worst To Best
9. Pura
Pura, like Polar, was very, very slow. The tiger cub was an equally poor choice both for Adventure Mode and local multiplayer, and generally only existed to help newer, inexperienced or just plain bad players get to grips with the game easier.
It's a shame too, because in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, Pura was a ball of energy, with his Great Wall of China levels played at breakneck speed. I suppose if you want your speed rush and your tiger rush though, you've got Tiny.
Demonstrably far cuter than Tiny, Pura just nicks in ahead of him despite its slow stats, by virtue of being far less annoying to play against and by having more personality than Polar.
Where the Polar bear is a blank slate, the little tiger cub has more of a cutesy, determined vibe going on. It's endearing to see, even if not enough to make many players seriously consider playing as him.
Pura has only ever been a supporting character in Crash, and his poor stats kept him confined to the same role in Crash Team Racing too. At least he was consistent, then.
