Cyberpunk 2077: 9 Gameplay Features You Haven't Heard About

7. Implants Have A "Humanity" Cost

From what we have gathered so far, there are plenty of implants and augmentations for you to get your hands on. It would seem that the very basis of the game is centred around this mechanic - as are the fundamentals of cyberpunk fiction.

However, it seems there may be something put in place to stop you from running around as the Terminator reborn. It’s called "Humanity Cost".

In the gameplay shown, when character V gets a new augmentation/purchases an upgrade, there is a “Humanity Cost” that you must pay.

Perhaps every time you buy an upgrade, your “Humanity” level lowers.

What does this mean for how your character is talked to, when traversing the world? Will you be paid less for quests, or maybe more, depending on who's hiring? Maybe certain places are made exclusive by how low or high your Humanity is?

It’s an interesting detail that adds a persistent means of interaction and place within the entirety of Night City, and it'll be great to see how far people go with their builds.
