9. Six Major Districts To Night City (And What Each Is Like)

The very first thing we see, Night City's map looks like a dropped spaghetti pile of interwoven streets and locations. Brilliantly, thanks to both the older Cyberpunk novels/games, plus Youtuber YongYea (who actually showed off screen-grabs of his press booklet), we can start to break down the six provinces that make up Nighty City itself.

First up is the City Centre, the "heart of corporations"; a "cluster of neon" and "the quintessence of luxury". We can safely say the Centre is comprised of various sky-high towers seen at the beginning and end of the trailer, and in fact, character V is likely arriving on the green line seen just to the left of the "City Centre" text.

Next up is Watson, the failed space of a corporate giant, now home to immigrants and trading through bazaars and marketplaces. Westbrook is the opposite, where "the wealthy work hard, and play hard". Heywood is said to be a suburban housing outfit doing its best to present a ritzier image, yet succumbing to an underbelly of crime behind the scenes.

Standard Hollywood allegories, then.

Santo Domingo is what powers everything; a truly energetic area "stuck in an endless cycle of modernisation". Lastly is Pacifica, the most dangerous part of the entire city. Crime-ridden and gang infested, Pacifica's part of the map is actually faded and looks inaccessible. Assumedly this will be where the hardest missions take place - but where you might also come away with some of the best rewards.
