Dark Souls: 10 Most Disgustingly-Programmed Boss Fights
4. Black Dragon Kalameet
Of course there had to be a dragon at some point on this list - and boy, was this a dragon done right. After witnessing Hawk-eye Gough shoot down this great beast - which, we're all in agreement was a truly outstanding cut-scene - you are able to fight Kalameet on ground terms. However, just because he can't fly in the encounter doesn't mean that he loses any other of his draconic traits that make him an extremely formidable foe. Using a dangerous variety of both fire-breathing and melee attacks, Kalameet relentlessly drains your stamina as you desperately try and move away from his ruthless assaults, often only evading his black fire by a whisker. So long as you were within a hundred yards of him, you were completely at the mercy of this vicious dragon. His vast amount of HP made it a very long fight, meaning there was a lot of time to make a fatal error. This fight demanded that you learn each and every one of Kalameet's moves to a T. Unless you did, you stood very little chance.
