10. Learn from Each Death and Persevere
Those who give up on Dark Souls are those who give up too easily; this game is a challenge, but doing it well will be extremely rewarding and you'll end up loving this game probably more than most games that you own. When I first delved into Dark Souls, I didn't like it all that much. But then I spent hours with it, fell in love, and I've never looked back since. One of the most important things to realise when playing Dark Souls 2 is that death is designed as part of this game. It's not there to be annoying, it's there to challenge you to understand what went wrong, how you can adapt to it and use your brain to overcome enemies, traps and deadly happenings that are stronger than you and will probably kill you. A victory over even the lowliest enemies in Dark Souls is therefore something to be celebrated; killing a boss often results in euphoric dancing around the room with inane shouting and thumping of the chest like Tarzan. Don't give up; even when times are bleak, Dark Souls 2 should stay in your console. Just take a break, come back after thinking about it and try again once more. Then try again when you've died and so on and so forth.
I hope I've helped you out slightly with your adventure in Drangleic, but I can only do so much. If you've read this article, help out other Dark Soulers and post your tips for survival below in the comments. Jolly cooperation demands that you do so.
