Dark Souls 2: The 10 Most Ridiculous Ways We All Died
7. Parry Fail
A technique generally reserved for only the most cocky or confident of Dark Soulers, parrying is an art form that, when properly executed, leaves your enemies wide open to attack and lets you deal loads of damage. Unfortunately, learning this technique requires perseverance, a good dollop of skill and repeated dying. I've died loads of times in Dark Souls trying to parry things, confident that I'd be able to do it after hours of play and blocking constantly as I round corridors. I'm very wrong, and I still haven't mastered how parrying works. If you miss a parry, you end up completely defenceless and your enemy can wail on you for a good couple of seconds. In Dark Souls, that's quite often all it takes to send you back soulless to the last bonfire you rested at. To those who can parry successfully, you are the true grossly incandescent among us.
