2. Charge Your Heavy Attacks In Combos
Dark Souls' combat is the most intricate dance of death there is; one where placement of characters and timing is imperative, and one wayward slash could cost (or win) everything.
With that in mind, more than all previous titles, many animations can be chained together provided you've got the appropriate stamina reserves, but holding R2/RT at any point in a chain will do a 'charged up' version of a given attack.
This is especially useful in online duels against other human players, as while the A.I. are less susceptible to being tricked, human opponents will take the lapse in momentum to leap forward, only to be met with a far more devastating attack.
