Dark Souls Remastered Wishlist: 10 Features Fans Need To See

9. Enemy Placement Tweaks

Dark Souls
FromSoftware

The enemy placement in Dark Souls is where most of the challenge is derived. It's often not the actual enemies that present the challenge but the combination and placement that makes each unique situation difficult. Thus, asking FromSoftware to tinker with their placements would fundamentally change the game.

However, in some cases it's necessary.

An overhaul would be interesting and could result in a superior game - just as Scholar of the First Sin did to DS2 - but such drastic measures would undoubtedly be abhorred by a lot of fans. Still, balancing certain situations is a must.

The basilisks in the Depths are vastly unfair, for example. Not to mention the Anor Londo archers. They might be some of the most infamous enemies in the game, but their placements are borderline cruel and need at least some minor adjustments.

Also, several locations in the game could just do with some additional enemies and some more inspired enemy placements to keep the game fresh.
