Days Gone 2: 10 Major Questions It Must Answer

1. What The Hell Does That O'Brien Twist Mean?

Just when you think Days Gone has neatly tied everything up (or left the sequel to answer the dropped questions), the final "secret" ending drops an absolute bombshell of a twist. Receiving a radio message from O'Brien asking to meet up, you finally discover why he'd been so hesitant to remove his mask for the entirety of the game: he's a Freaker.

However, unlike the thousands you've been slaughtering for the rest of the title, O'Brien seems to be in full control of his cognitive and physical capabilities, gaining all the "perks" that come with being one of these monsters while still retaining most of the traits that still make him human. He warns Deacon that whatever NERO were looking for, they've found it, and that they're going to bring down hell on the remaining survivors.

The implications of this will obviously be the driving force of the sequel, and it raises so many questions about the nature of the virus, and what the endgame for this organisaiton is, that fans can't wait to have answered.
