1. Verdict
Very few games manage to successfully improve their franchise with drastic changes to the core mechanics, but Capcom has carefully analyzed the response to the Dead Rising series and understood where and how to make changes. Their only real fumble is in their inability to bring to life another loveable and eccentric character in protagonist Nick, but the total package of the story mitigates that unfortunate misfire. Going on a zombie rampage is now zanier than ever with nearly 350 weapons and various ridiculous costumes to mess around with. The joy doesnt end once you finish the game as youll undoubtedly crave more and want to seek out every weapon blueprint and tragic ending. Dead Rising 3 may be a launch title, but nothing was phoned in here, for its the first great game of this brand new console generation.
Dead Rising 3 is available now in both NA and the UK, and is exclusive to the Xbox One.
