Death Stranding: 17 Tips, Tricks & Secrets The Game Doesn't Tell You

1. The Right Way To Optimise Cargo

Death Stranding's U.I. is perhaps its weakest element. It struggles to explain anything, and leaves it to you to navigate through so many screens in order to optimise everything from cargo to orders.

As a result, it might be just tempting to hit triangle and have the game optimise Sam's cargo for you, but that shouldn't be relied on for every situation.

Different parts of Sam's body come with different strengths and weaknesses that can make missions easier. For instance, you might want to attach important items to Sam's body rather than his backpack, as that way they won't fall off if he's hit.

Similarly, the tool rack partly dictates what's in your inventory in-game, meaning it's useless to leave an important weapon on your back where it's not quickly accessible.

There's a lot to take into consideration, but it's worth getting to grips with it rather than hitting optimise every time you set out.
