Deathloop PS5 Review: 8 Ups & 3 Downs

DOWNS

3. A Lack Of Really Memorable Guns

Deathloop's arsenal is a mixed bag. Like a lot of action games, it boasts a colour-coded tiered system when it comes to its loot. Consequently, you're going to be getting a lot of different variations on the same basic weapons - your silenced pistols, magnums, shotguns etc.

Some of these variants do add cool qualifiers - like the ability to shoot poison gas - and each base version handles well, but more interesting weapons would have been a bonus.

The best weapons in the game are unique unlockables but they're few and far between. As it stands, it's too easy to get a gun you like early on and stick with it for the whole game.
