2. Lack Of Unique Weapons
Given how much Destiny revolves around combat, one aspect we were really looking forward to sinking our teeth into was the array of weaponry. After Bungie's success in the Halo franchise with inventing unique weapons, such as the Needler, Energy Sword, Plasma Pistol and Sticky Grenades, they'd surely come up with something awesome for Destiny, right? Well, not really. The weapons are mostly just variations on regular guns, such as Automatic Rifles, Pistols, Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Shotguns and so on. The only weapon in the game we've encountered so far that felt even remotely original is the Fusion Rifle, which delivers a fatal, single burst of energy at close range, though the trade off is that firing it requires a brief charge, which if poorly timed will no doubt result in your death. The game certainly doesn't lack for weapons, it just lacks for game-changing ones that would change the way we play the FPS game.
