Destiny: 17 Easter Eggs & References You Need To Know

6. Animal Farm Reference

Here's a quick and easy reference to one of the all-time literary greats. Early on in the game, there's a Patrol mission in Old Russia called Four Arms Good, Two Arms Better, which is a rather blatant reference to George Orwell's classic novel Animal Farm. In the book, as the pigs appear to become more human, they introduce the commandment, "Four legs good, two legs better!", opting to walk on two legs rather than four, as previously distinguished them further from the humans. It's hard to see how the mission has much relevance to the quote, though it was more likely a fun, throwaway literary reference that sounds kinda cool even if those who haven't read the book likely have no idea what it means.
