Destiny 2: 10 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do
9. Use Your Ghost To Find Chests & Scannable Objects
When it comes to Patrol in Destiny 2, you're going to find yourself on your feet a lot more - mainly because Sparrows, the main form of transportation in the first, won't be unlocked until after you complete the campaign.
With all that new time on your feet, you're going to have plenty of opportunities to find chests, materials and all the scannable goodies littered around the map.
One key thing to watch out for are Region Chests scattered all over the patrol area. This is where your Ghost comes in. If you take your Ghost out, the little guy will actually move and look in the exact location of the chest you're nearby. Even if the chest is above you, it will look up to let you know.
It's not limited to helping you find chests either. If you are one of those who actually read the Grimoire cards in the first game and are clamoring for more lore, there are scannable objects around the map. When scanned, your Ghost will give you brief information about the object, as well as some lore.
These can be the hardest to find, as the only hint you'll get about being nearby is a little Ghost icon in the top right of your screen. Just like the chests, when you see that, pull out your Ghost and it will guide you in the right direction.
