4. Infuse Exotics & Legendaries To Keep Their Power Level High

Have a Legendary or Exotic gun you like? Keep it. Simple as.

Though it can be very tempting to swap your loadout and equipment constantly, there is a way to build something of a 'bond' to a particular set of equipment that you like the feel of: Infusion.

Hit triangle/Y on any Legendary/Exotic weapon or armour piece and go down to the Infusion icon. From here you can 'feed' any higher-level gun or armour piece (within the same type, so Auto Rifles to Auto Rifles) to your older, under-levelled piece, resulting in a transference of power.

Your older weapon or armour will now take on the power level of whatever you infused - just be aware than any mods attached will be lost and subtracted to form the new power level.
