Destiny 2: 9 Big Questions Bungie Must Answer At E3 2017

1. Wrapping Up Loose Ends

You know what, Bungie, I'm not even bothered about the Exo Stranger anymore. The walking, talking plot device clearly represents a vestigial leftover from Destiny's original, pre-Taken King days, so if we're to forget she ever existed, fine - I'll let you off the hook on that one.

As for the rest of the narrative threads that have been left dangling, though, there's no way you're going to get away with not following them up with a meaningful conclusion.

Sure, it's reassuring to see that a fresh new central story is coming with Destiny 2 in the form of the Red Legion and Ghaul, but can we please get a definitive answer in regards to Eris Morn and Awoken Queen Mara Sov? The former was involved in a confounding cliffhanger ending in The Taken King, making mention of a "Queen" while cradling the essence of Oryx's sword.

Whether this is a reference to Mara Sov or some other monarch entirely isn't clear, because instead of a direct follow-up, we got Rise of Iron instead, a serviceable side-story that answered little to nothing about the wider lore.

By all means, give us new planets to explore and threats to confront, but not at the expense of forgetting what got us here in the first place.
