Destiny 2: Ranking All Exotic Weapons From Worst To Best

One of the best things The Prospector has going for it is its look, because damn is it a pretty looking gun. Looking like a Tommy Gun hybrid, it looks like something you don't want to mess with. Unfortunately its look outshines its functionality.

The Prospector is a grenade launcher that falls into the same fate as almost all grenade launchers in this game, it's just not that great. It's true that The Prospector is one of the better grenade launchers in the game, only behind the legendary Play of the Game launcher and a few others, but even that doesn't save it. It's pretty average and hard to go with over other power exotics.

It's exotic perk allows the launcher to be fired in full auto, and with a clip of eight that's pretty decent for a launcher. You can also hold down the trigger until you want to make all of the grenades explode at once. However, since all the grenades bounce and aren't sticky like some launchers, it's pretty hard to lump them together and do effective and controlled damage.
