Destiny 3: 8 Reasons It Should Be Single Player

7. There Would Be Less Opportunity For Microtransactions

While it definitely would not be impossible for Bungie to cram microtransactions into a singleplayer game, as proven by what has happened to the likes of Assassin's Creed and Deus Ex, it would certainly be a lot harder to contrive reasons for them.

Recently, everyone from fans to even government bodies have been scrutinising the monetisation of games, so steering clear of adding any unnecessary microtransactions would be a great way for Bungie to avoid unwanted controversy and garner goodwill from the gaming community.

Destiny 2 received some flack for how the Eververse store was implemented, meaning that making sure that the in-game purchases are as friendly, or preferably as absent, as possible is a must for the third game, regardless of whether it's singleplayer or not.
