Destiny: The Taken King - 10 New Features That Will Change Everything

3. New Subclasses

After a year of waiting, Destiny has given guardians an additional subclass to chose from. Your new subclasses are called Stormcaller (Warlock), Sunbreaker (Titan) and Nightstalker (Hunter). To summarise these subclasses€ Warlocks will have an Electro-like supercharge (Stormtrance) that enables them to channel bolts of arch-lightning at enemies, the choice of Lightning and Pulse Grenades - currently associated with the Titan subclasses €“ as well the new Deluge Grenade. The melee (Thunderstrike) will chain from the struck enemy to another nearby enemy or have enhanced range. Titans will be given the Hammer of Sol supercharge, which allows them to summon a solar hammer and either smash or throw the hammer at their enemies. Good news Titans, you now possess the power of Thor. Grenades include the Fusion Grenade, Incendiary Grenade, plus a new Match Grenade. The melee (Sunstrike) releases a solar explosion on hit and ignites nearby enemies. The Hunter supercharge summons a void bow (Shadowshot), which allows you to suppress enemies and guardian supercharges. Your choice of grenades will be the Spike Grenade, Vortex Grenade and the new Slash Grenade. Interestingly, the Hunter melee has been replaced with a smoke bomb. Not only do these new subclasses look awesome, they will change the whole dynamic of the game. Based on test footage, these new powers will cause carnage in PVP but the exciting twist is that you have to earn them by completing quests in the story.
