DMC: 8 Things To Be Excited About

5. Demons

DmC-Demo-Boss Face Your Demons. In this new world, the demons rule humanity from behind a curtain. Demons have enslaved humanity but not in the way you are thinking They have control of our every day lives, in a way I personally think is extremely well throughout and interesting. Demons control the media we watch, to the beverages we drink, the places we party at and even the banks we keep our money at. After sitting down and thinking about it I have to admit that it is a very different spin on demons. This is by no means an original idea but it does mix well if you think about our current society and how things are controlled and regulated. W are told what is good for us and what is bad, we are told who is bad and what is import, companies bombard us with ads and products that are essentially not good for us and nightclubs seduce us to experiment with drugs and alcohol. Now what if all of that was orchestrated? What if it was to keep humanity in check? Crazy to think about. Getting back to the demons, returning is the great Demon King: Mundus. Fans of the original series will be familiar with this name. Mundus is the demon responsible for the death of Eva and the imprisonment of Sparda. He sees himself as a "god" and comes across as a wealthy wall street type of figure, kind of a like a Gordon Gekko character if you will. But, he is not the only demon within Limbo City. There are many demons that want Dante dead, from the basic enemies that look like marionettes, chainsaw wielding giants and a lot more odd looking creatures. The bosses are even stranger but much more thought out than the basic enemies. Each boss has a major function within Limbo City, for example, the boss Poison (which was featured in the playable demo) is responsible for the supply of the drink known as virility. Little do most people know Poison's "juices" are the secret ingredient in the drink. There are many more bosses and enemies to kill but I just wanted to players to understand how deep the story goes and how well developed and incorporated each area and boss is. There are a lot more connections between bosses and the roles they play but I will let you figure them out when you play the game. DmC_box_art Hopefully by now I have sold you on just how awesome and entertaining the new DMC game will be. IF you haven't already download the free demo and test out your skills against waves of enemies and the boss battle against Poison. DMC looks to be a fresh start to a great franchise that started to feel a little dull. With new characters, enemies, levels and weapons, DMC will leave you wanting more as you try and achieve better ratings and unlocking all the extras. DMC comes out on January 15th but if you pre-order it (like I did) you will receive the DLC "Vergil's Downfall" along with a few added skins and extras. I hope you enjoyed my article and I hope you will enjoy playing the new DMC.

I am a huge movie fan and a person who loves all things video games. I believe a strong game should have equal parts story, graphics, gameplay and interesting characters for it to truly succeed. I can tell you all about my movie obsession or how many times I've been The Legend of Zelda. Either way, let me know what you think of my articles or if you just want to say whats up be my guest.
