Dota 2: 10 Heroes That Need A Rework

1. Io The Guardian Wisp

Io has low starting stats and low growth rates for each one, and starts off with very low armor, rendering it very weak and highly vulnerable. Io is obviously meant to be a support Hero; that much is obvious. However, what is also obvious is that it lacks any real manner of leveling itself. In other words, Io is completely dependent on its allies to be of any use to its team. Other support Heroes at least have one spell meant to give them a degree of self-sufficiency, whether it€™s a damaging skill or a passive that helps them get stronger. Io€™s best skills in this regard are €˜Spirits€™, which do some damage to enemy creeps and Heroes, and €˜Overcharge€™, which increase attack speed and damage reduction for both Io and a tethered ally, at the cost of Io€™s HP. Either than that, Io is completely dependent on its allies. While it does have a unique ability in Tether, which also grants attached allies a 1.5 healing bonus from whatever Io heals itself, this does little to make Io less vulnerable to threats from enemy Heroes throughout the game. A possible re-work would be to give Io a better offensive ability. €˜Spirits€™, while useful, isn€™t really an ability that one expects Io to gain any Hero kills with, except by some lucky blow after a battle has ended. Instead, Io needs something that would allow it to gain some slight farm of its own. After all, if Io is meant to be a support Hero by design, then it would make sense for it to carry the support items, and for this it needs gold, something that such a weak Hero like Io would find very difficult with the skills and stats it currently possesses. Are there any DotA 2 Heroes that you find imbalanced? Do you think any other of the current Heroes need a re-work? Let us know in the comments section below.
