Dragon Age 4: 11 Things We Learned From The Behind The Scenes Gamescom Feature
9. The Antivan Crows
Hints of the mysterious assassins, the Antivan Crows, were littered throughout this feature, and more so in the previous entry to the Dragon Age franchise, its short story collection, Tevinter Nights.
In the video, we see concept art of an intriguing Crow character sneaking up on what appears to be Venatori carrying around a decadent looking woman who is probably a Magister. Alongside this Crow is a Qunari woman who features in many iterations of the concept art as well, and over in the front of the litter seems to be another similarly dressed Crow, though he doesn't wear the iconic headpiece.
In an image where characters are underwater appears another man who seems dressed in iconic Crow garb, again without the headpiece.
In Tevinter Nights, the Crows feature in three of the fifteen short stories, and the two Crows in the concept art may be Lucanis Dellamorte and his cousin Illario, who had previously been sent to assassinate Venatori in "The Wigmaker Job".
Regardless of their identities, it's clear that the Crows will be playing a significant part in the next Dragon Age. Here's hoping we catch a hint of our favourite ex-Crow, Zevran Aranai.
