Dragon Age 4: 11 Things We Learned From The Behind The Scenes Gamescom Feature

4. The Qun

With the Qun playing a huge part in Trespasser and Tevinter Nights, it's no surprise to see them featured in the video - especially the Qunari woman who appears more than once, who's since exploded in popularity despite probably not being the final design.

In both Trespasser and Tevinter Nights, the Qun is mentioned as renewing the ferocity of their attacks on Tevinter, with stories such as "Three Trees to Midnight" and "Genitivi Dies In The End" showing their invasion of a Tevinter coastal city Ventus, and their activity in the Deep Roads, respectively.

It's clear the Qun is also acting against Solas and his forces, which puts them in the interesting position of saviour-ally and antagonist-invader, given they intend to conquer Thedas in order to save it from Solas' veil-tearing destruction.

There's also the matter of their mysterious origins - hinted at in Inquisition, where Corypheus mentions their race was a "mistake".

Regardless - more Qunari characters are welcome, since they're one of the most intriguing peoples, not only of the franchise, but of the fantasy genre in general. Maybe even cameos of Sten from Origins - now Arishok - and the ever-beloved Iron Bull and his Chargers.
