Dragon Age 4: Every Rumour & Leak You NEED To Know
2. The Story Will Follow On From The Trespasser DLC, Set In Tevinter
Dragon Age's post-release DLC and expansion packs have always been essential in figuring out potential sequels. While there are plenty of teases and hints in the main games about where the story could go next, they're often made explicit in epilogue DLC that introduces characters and threads that will be essential for the next title.
Fans saw that happen with Dragon Age 2's Legacy expansion, which introduced the main villain of Inquisition, Corpheus, and established his motivations for the game to come. The Trespasser DLC for Inquisition seemingly fulfilled the same role, picking up from the Solas twist at the end of the base game and acting as a bridge between that and the fourth title.
It also made one thing clear: The sequel will be set in the Tevinter Imperium.
The interesting thing is that Schreier's report both confirmed and downplayed this.
Allegedly, the plan for Joplin was to pick up where this DLC left off, casting players as a bunch of Tevinter spies, but it's unknown if that will survive to the new incarnation. While the setting might change though, based on the reveal trailer it's clear that Solas is still being eyed up as the main villain, and the events of Trespasser will still very much be important.
