3. Vanishing/Teleporting Is Your Best Friend

Vanishing can be a mechanic that is pretty easy to forget about in the midst of a heated battle, but that’d be a pretty big mistake. Vanishing can be your best friend, providing you use it right.

To vanish, you need to press the medium and heavy attack buttons at the same time (triangle and circle on PS4, Y and B on Xbox One). Doing so will cause your character to teleport behind your enemy and strike them, interrupting their attack and taking away one meter of special from you.

The best time to use vanishing is when an opponent uses their level 3 or level 1 ultimate. Because these attacks can be absolutely devastating, avoiding them is a must, and certainly worth the one bar of meter. Timing is essential though, as you have to make sure the attack has already been fired.

Good luck.

Besides this, use vanish as often as you can to confuse your opponents and make any attacks you make much more unpredictable. With enough speed and skill, vanishing can be used to tie into combos too.

Oh, and did you know that using vanish when in Sparking Blast will result in an open teleport that lets you input your own commands straight away rather than hitting the enemy away? Practice makes perfect.
