Adult Gohan shares a few special moves with younger Gohan, specifically the Jet Uppercut and the Machine Gun Kick which are multi-hitting physical specials designed around launching opponents and extending combos.

What sets Gohan apart from young Gohan is his level one super, Potential Unleashed. This not only makes Gohan quicker and stronger, but it also gives him access to a new special attack and modifies some of his other attacks.

One of these specials, the Ultimate Back Attack, usually allows Gohan to fly toward the opponent and deliver either a regular overhead attack or alternatively deliver a cross-up, catching the opponent off guard. However, once the player triggers Potential Unleashed Gohan will instead teleport toward the opponent and deliver the attack.

Not only does it make the attack faster and a lot safer, but it can be performed anywhere on the screen regardless of the opponents position.

What really makes Potential Unleashed interesting is that, should you choose to do so, Gohan can invest all seven of his bars into the transformation. It might seem like a bit of a waste, but it does actually allow the player to break their combo chains, resulting in devastating damage and ridiculously high combos.
