Look, if you want the short and sweet version, Janemba is just cool as hell. That is all the reason you need to have this guy in the game. He can teleport through his ability to control reality, he has a dope red sword - honestly you don't need a third reason, that's enough in itself.
Regardless of the fact he was only in one movie and then never mentioned again, Janemba is the very definition of a fan favourite. The amount of people who want this guy in the game is kinda surprising, honestly. Arcsys could probably pave their office floors with gold using the money they'd generate from his DLC.
It's frankly a little bemusing that Arcsys have opted to put characters like Base Vegeta and Bardock in the game, who - let's face it - have quite bland looking movesets, but completely passed up on the opportunity to put such an original character in the first season's DLC.
Maybe they were just holding him back for the second season of the game so more people buy the FighterZ Pass again. That would be a very wise, and profitable business decision, Arcsys. Hint, hint.
