3. More (Improved) Boss Fights
One of the staples of DBZ is the big showdown with the hero and their enemy. FINALLY, after 20 episodes of filler, 6 episodes of dialogue and 3 episodes of powering up we get to see a fight!
It's clear bosses are a highlight here. The super move animations, amazing cut scenes and an enemy (who probably has 5 more health bars than you) all help to immerse players into feeling like they’re fighting in a battle from the anime.
Every main boss from DBZ is here and they all are great capstones to their arcs. Unfortunately, they aren’t perfect, because some bosses can revert to predictable patterns and after a little time can be overcome with dodging and a few ki blasts to the face.
Winning these battles can feel hollow due to the shallow combat system and lack of difficulty which we touched on earlier in the list. This may be fine for casual fans, but hardcore players looking for a challenge may be underwhelmed.
