Maybe you’re looking for a more traditional approach; you could always try Table-top Simulator. Available for £14.99 or $20 depending on where you’re from. This piece of software will allow you to play around a virtual table. Allowing players to roll dice and move miniature on the map.

With some admittedly long and slightly awkward setup time, you can have everything you would ever need for a game on hand. Combine this with the previously mentioned D&D beyond and you can have a great game. You can upload battle maps, character sheets, and your DM notes. All these can be made public or private. You can even have virtual tablets where you can look at the internet in-game to get stat blocks.

Roll20 is a cheaper and more simple option for your party. Table Top Simulator, on the other hand, is great for setting the mood for a game night together. Many players find it one of the best ways to host their games. With a few of your own personal additions, you may find your new favourite way to play Dungeons and Dragons.
