The website allows you to play many different pen and paper RPGs on a virtual tabletop. With maps, tokens, and stat blocks, there’s very little this piece of software can’t do.

For a lot of people that play Dungeons and Dragons, theatre of the mind isn’t enough. Roll20 allows you to use any number of tactical maps with grids and hexes. It’s all the little features that really make this site great, though. Status effects, custom minis, and virtual dice that roll for everyone. These features help to make it feel like your round that table again.

There are other more refined systems available but you can’t beat this one for the price and accessibility.
