9. Microsoft's Technical Fails (2013)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs7Oslq9HNo It's fair to say that Microsoft's 2013 conference was a bit of a train wreck. Mainly promoting the controversial Xbox One, the company needed a strong event to get across the positives behind their new console, alas they didn't get one. Not only did the company have to defend their presentation for including what some people claim was a reference to rape (when showing off Killer Instinct, one of the on-stage gamers says: "Just let it happen, it'll be over soon" to a female co-worker) but they also suffered some pretty awkward/hilarious technical problems. A trailer was played for Xbox One exclusive title Crimson Dragon featuring no sound, leaving the audience to make their own sound effects to cover up. Microphones were left on as presenters left the stage, giving us snippets of backstage conversation, and PopCap's developers arrived seemingly with the intention of weirding everyone out. EA managed to top all of that though with their botched presentation of Battlefield 4. Seriously, watch the above video and try not to feel overwhelmingly bad for the guy on stage. The best moment is when he tries to leave the stage having endured the most awkward moment of his career, only to be told he has to go back on. His shocked "We're continuing?!" summed up everybody's thoughts. You'd be forgiven for thinking that the rest of Microsoft's E3 would then improve on this horror show, but you'd be wrong. Sony arrived on stage the day after and proceeded to mock and humiliate Microsoft for their awfully received policies regarding the Xbox One. Microsoft's next gen console didn't just stall at E3; Sony gleefully came out swinging with a tire iron and left them wrecked at the roadside for good measure.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
