E3: 10 Most Hilarious Moments From Past Conferences

10. My Body Is Ready (2007)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Gc5cuekQto It's impossible to dislike Reggie Fils-Aime. As the face of Nintendo, he's fronted their E3 conferences for years now, heralding in huge reveals like the Wii and the Nintendo DS. His positive and upbeat nature has always made him popular at E3 but he'll always be defined by one great moment. In 2007, Nintendo unveiled the Wii Fit; a game designed to help keep gamers fit without having to trek to their nearest gym. It used the new Wii Balance Board; a peripheral which strongly resembles a set of plastic scales. In order to showcase their newest attempt to innovate gaming, Nintendo guru Shigeru Miyamoto invites Reggie on stage to undergo a body evaluation. The slightly nervous executive arrives on stage before announcing "My body is ready". While it didn't get much of a reaction with the live audience, the rest of the world went crazy for it. It raised Reggie's popularity through the roof, establishing him as one of gaming's most beloved real world figures. The great man even referenced it himself when discussing the Wii U in 2012. The phrase has had such a profound effect on the world that it's also serving as motivation for people everywhere; according to Urban Dictionary, My Body Is Ready can be defined as "a phrase a virgin says when they're ready to knock boots". Reggie's must be really proud of that.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
